Short-form Video Editor / Performance Creative Specialist
Now Hiring
Bengaluru · Full-time
₹40,000 – ₹60,000/month
What This Role Is Really For
We are scaling our Meta-first growth engine. That means creative velocity matters. We need someone who can take one raw idea and turn it into multiple ad-ready edits with different hooks, pacing, captions, CTAs, and formats.
20-40
Video Creatives
Per month as the first target — scaling much higher over time
2s
First Impression
Your edit must feel sharp and stop the scroll in the first 2 seconds
1
Raw Idea
Turned into multiple ad-ready variants with different hooks and formats
What You Will Do
This is a high-output, fast-feedback creative production role. Here is what your day-to-day looks like:
1
Edit Short-form Video Ads
Create Meta and Instagram ads from raw creator clips, product footage, founder inputs, and AI-generated assets.
2
Create Multiple Variants
Produce several versions from the same raw material — testing different hooks, captions, pacing, CTAs, and visual treatments.
3
Build Static Creatives
Create simple static ad creatives when needed to complement the video output.
4
Work Fast & Iterate
Take feedback, improve based on what is working, and make progress from rough direction — without waiting for perfect briefs.
Who This Is For
This is for someone who has edited short-form videos before and understands that ads are not only about looking good. You may have worked with D2C brands, creators, agencies, ecommerce brands, founders, Instagram pages, or performance marketing teams. What matters most is your work.
Stop the Scroll
Your edits must grab attention before the viewer swipes away.
Be Crystal Clear
The message must land instantly — no ambiguity, no confusion.
Feel Native
Content must blend into the platform, not feel like an intrusive ad.
Sell Smartly
Drive conversions without looking like a boring, obvious advertisement.
What We Are Looking For
Core Skills
Short-form editing experience for Instagram Reels, Meta ads, creators, D2C brands, or performance marketing
Ability to create multiple hook and pacing variants from the same raw material
Strong understanding of the critical first 2–3 seconds of a video
Strong sense of captions, cuts, rhythm, and visual hierarchy
Tools & Mindset
Comfort with CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or similar editing tools
Basic Canva and static creative ability for supplementary assets
Interest in using AI tools where useful to accelerate output
Fast turnaround without needing constant supervision or hand-holding
Strong Signals We Look For
These are the indicators that tell us you are the right fit — beyond just having editing experience.
Proven Track Record
You have edited for D2C, ecommerce, personal brands, creators, agencies, or Meta ad campaigns.
Performance Thinking
You can explain why one edit may perform better than another — not just why it looks better.
Hook Variety
You have examples showing different hooks or formats from the same source material.
Platform Native
Your work looks and feels native to Instagram — not like it was made for TV or YouTube.
Works with Imperfect Material
You can work from rough, unpolished raw footage and still produce strong output.
Reel vs. Ad Distinction
You understand the fundamental difference between a reel and a performance ad.
This May Not Be for You If…
We want to be upfront. This role has a specific profile. If any of the following describes you, this may not be the right fit.
You Only Do Cinematic Work
Wedding edits, music-heavy travel montages, or polished brand films are a different craft. This role is not that.
You Depend on Templates
If you rely heavily on pre-built templates rather than building from raw material, this will be a challenge.
You Don't Understand Hooks
If scroll behaviour and hook strategy are not part of how you think about editing, this role will be frustrating.
Your Portfolio Lacks Performance Thinking
Work that looks good but shows no evidence of conversion or performance intent will not stand out here.
You Need Detailed Direction
If every small edit requires a detailed brief, the pace of this role will be difficult to sustain.
You Are Slow with Turnaround
Creative velocity is core to this role. Slow output directly impacts our growth engine.
Portfolio Requirement
A fancy portfolio is not required. Good work is.
5–7 Samples
Send a minimum of 5 and up to 7 short-form video samples that represent your best work.
At Least 2 Ad-like
At least 2 samples should be ad-like, creator-led, product-led, or conversion-focused in nature.
Show the Craft
We are looking for proof of hooks, pacing, captions, cuts, and platform taste — not production budget.
Screening Task
Shortlisted candidates will be given one raw clip or product angle. You will be asked to create 3 versions — each demonstrating a different hook strategy.
We will judge speed, taste, first-frame choice, captions, pacing, and whether the output genuinely feels like a Meta ad — not just a well-edited video.
1
Curiosity Hook
Lead with intrigue. Make the viewer want to know what comes next.
2
Problem-Solution Hook
Open with a pain point your audience recognises, then resolve it.
3
Direct Product/Offer Hook
Lead with the product or offer clearly and confidently from frame one.

A link to your portfolio — Google Drive, Notion, personal site, or similar.
03
